Another week means another 168 hours we have all managed to get through. This lockdown way of living seemed an almost impossible task at the start but here we are six weeks in and we are pleasantly surprised with how our mindset has changed. By no means has it always been easy but it has been a great way to re-set priorities and think about where we want to focus our attentions on the other side of this all.
As always we have been attempting to keep a varied range of consumption this last week and maintain the balance between those do nothing moments. We hope these lists have been a way for you discover something new or re-vist something you once enjoyed. Essential Consuming - Week Six:
Normal People - We recommended this book in one of our earlier lists and we have been eagerly awaiting the release of the TV adaption. They have absolutely nailed the tone of the book and we finished the entire thing in one sitting. Just a word of warning this is definitely adults only viewing, so maybe save it for once the kids are in bed.
At Home Tie Dying - The Tie Dye trend has been back for a while and we figured why not just have a go ourselves. You can pick up fabric dyes from a bunch of different online stores but this handy little kit from The Warehouse was super inexpensive for a first time attempt. The results are a more muted colour but we actually quite like that.
The Shit Show - This podcast is from the genius girls @shityoushouldcareabout on Instagram. They talk news, politics and pop culture all while still being able to have a good giggle. If your like us and want to keep up to date with whats going on in the world but are a little over traditional news media sources then give this a listen!
The Ouai / Treatment Masque - The thing we have given the least attention to during lockdown, our hair, was looking a little worse for wear. This Hair Masque is one of our absolute favourites and has saved us until we are next able to get to the salon.
Monopoly App - The game known for causing family fights can now be played online via the App. You can connect with friends form anywhere in the world and trust as its just as competitive as when played in person.
Stella Pilates - The lovely Stella Mitchinson from @stellapilates on Instagram has been posting amazing work outs you can do do from home. If your having one of those days where its hard to know where to begin with your workout these informative videos will be your best friend.
